David Moyes has dropped a heavy hint that Manu Lanzini could be in his line up for the game against Southampton at St Mary’s.
The Argentinian midfield playmaker has been looking like a man returning to his best form and was one of the stars of the second half against Brighton as the Hammers put in an improved performance on the first 45 minutes.
And talking to reporters Moyes made it clear the player has the creative spark he need within the squad..
He said the only reason he hadn’t been involved against Chelsea was because he had a groin strain which had cleared up within a few days.
But he added: “He’s creative – he gives us something different. The side has been pretty consistent overall so it’s a case of breaking in and showing what you can do.”
