Moyes drops Soucek and Mikey

David Moyes has dropped both Tomas Soucek and Mikey Antonio for Friday’s clash with Brentford.

The Hammers go into the game on a four-game run of defeats, having lost 3-1 to Arsenal on Boxing Day.

Moyes has rung the changes, with Soucek, Antonio, and Thilo Kehrer all dropping to the bench.

It looks difficult to discern the formation on first look, but it appears to be a back five, potentially with Aaron Cresswell as a left centre-back.

It could also mean that Lucas Paqueta is playing deeper in midfield, as he did for Brazil at the World Cup.

Up front, Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma provide support to Italy international Gianluca Scamacca.

In one spot of good news, Nayef Aguerd is back on the bench, as he looks to recover from his injury woes.

West Ham XI: Fabianski; Coufal, Dawson, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Emerson; Paqueta, Rice; Bowen, Benrahma, Scamacca.

Subs: Areola, Johnson, Fornals, Antonio, Lanzini, Downes, Kehrer, Aguerd, Soucek.

  1. Certainly more optimistic with this line up COYI!!

  2. Moyes should drop himself.2-0 down at half time and the championship looms imho.

  3. Absolute crap. Moyes doesn’t have a clue and must go
