Moyes Everton update

By Hughie Southon

David Moyes MAY stay in the picture for the Everton job despite Marcelo Bielsa arriving in Heathrow ahead of expected talks.

The former Leeds manager will them as Goodison chief Farhad Moshiri continues attempts to persuade the former Leeds manager to succeed Frank Lampard.

According to the Guardian Bielsa is the owner’s first choice but the out of work manager has doubts over whether to accept the challenge.

Moyes in his Everton days

He is believed to have reservations over a club that has sacked six permanent managers in just under seven years and the suitability of the squad to his methods, particularly when a relegation battle leaves little room for error or time to bed in his tactics.

It means that Moyes who has been linked to the job as an outsider could still remain in the Toffees’ minds after his spell at the club in the past.

However, it is more likely he will entertain the same doubts as Bielsa.
