Moyes explains his window problems again

David Moyes has raised another defence of the club’s failure to buy any players in the January transfer window.
And he has claimed that he believes there were nine clubs in the same position, making it clear that for some reason this was a more tricky winter to buy window than previously.
All well and good – and we accept that he wants quality players rather than squad numbers whilst taking on board the risk he runs as a result should further injuries intervene.
Given the number of games we are facing with the Europa Cup soon due to recommence that’s a clear danger and as a result comparisons with other clubs may nit be the best  defence.
However, to coin the cliche, it is what it is now and Moyes is the man in charge and paid to make the decisions so that’s where it all ends an we get on with it.
He told the presser:  “I think there have been nine clubs in the January window who didn’t bring any players in. For some reason, it’s been a much more difficult January window than possibly others.

“We wanted to add to the squad if we could do, but unfortunately we just couldn’t quite get them over the line.
“We did [get close to deals] but for different reasons it didn’t quite happen.
“I’d never tell you my targets because that would be wrong, but what I do want to do is be ambitious here at West Ham, bring in good players and add to the really good squad we’ve got at the moment.
Sometimes, getting things you actually want, you have to wait a little bit longer. I think it was quite obvious as nine clubs didn’t do any business in January.”
