Moyes eying 7th place but it’s only 1 win in 5
West Ham can move up to 7th in the Premier League with a win over Burnley on Saturday. That would be considered a reasonable position given the recent pressure on David Moyes.
However, it’s important to remember that the Hammers’ form has been poor, with only one win in the last 5 games. With matches against Palace and Spurs following quickly after, we’re about to find out whether our poor form was merely a blip.
While Moyes’s team should win comfortably against Burnley, a loss would set a negative tone for the upcoming fixtures. Vincent Kompany’s team has been awful this season and have only picked up four points. However, they do have some talented players who will surely come good eventually.
That being said, I’d expect West Ham to win even without the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio. I only hope that we don’t sit back and invite Burnley onto us. Their defence has been terrible this season, so we must offer a regular and fast counter-attack.
For that reason, I’d look to start Cornet or Mubama and possibly even both depending on injury and availability.
I am dreading the game as i can see Burnley playing us off the park with a player like Soucek in our team. Dont want to be negative but all i can see is a burnley win. They are just a far better coached team. Tomorrow will be another clear example that Moyes is not as good a manager as we deserve, we should win the game as we just have the better players but are being managed by a poor manager. If we had Kompany in charge with the players we have i would be confident.
