Moyes faces some tricky selection issues

David Moyes may have some tricky selection issues this afternoon besides the obvious issues at the back which sadly are too well known!

With Frankfurt on the horizon as our biggest game in years on Thursday he may have to decide who he is ready to rest ahead of the game.

We understand that doesn’t necessarily have to be the case giveb that he has run with the same team of close to it on most occasions this season.

However, it may make sense to make changes on the strength of the match on Thursday as we bid to take a decent lead to Germany for the second leg.

Moyes made his usual substitution against Burnley bringing on Benrahma for Vlasic but we hope he sticks with the Croatian this afternoon after his confidence took a big knock following his involvement in the injury to Ashley Westwood.

It’s not as though the Algerian has often proves to be the answer anyway!

Vladimr Coufal can expect to start given the issues at the back although Moyes may be tempted to use Fredericks and we would hope to see Manu Lanzini rested as he can be key to things on Thursday – Fornals would be the obvious candidate to replace him.

There is also a case for resting Tomas Soucek  despite it being unlikely with just Mark Noble  apparently available given the Alex Kral scenario.

Possible team: Fabiański, Coufal Dawson, Johnson, Masuaku Rice ©, Souček, Vlašić ,Fornals , Bowen, Antonio
