Moyes’ fitness update

|

David Moyes has revealed that Said Benrahma is set to be fit for this weekend’s clash with Brighton.

The Algeria international was not in the squad for the clash with Manchester City at the weekend, with his last outing coming against Norwich, when he scored twice.

And Moyes has now confirmed that the winger is set to be fit for the encounter with the Seagulls.

Speaking to the club’s official website, he said: “Said Benrahma should be fit for the game. Issa Diop’s ankle is not quite right yet, but we’d expect Benrahma to be available.”

Moyes has also commented on the potential of Mark Noble being involved in the game, in what would be his final ever league appearance for the Irons.

Nobes, of course, said goodbye to the Hammers faithful at the weekend as the Hammers drew 2-2 with Manchester City, but he could be involved this weekend as the Irons go in search of a top-six finish.

To do that, the Hammers will need to win against Brighton and hope that Manchester United drop points against Crystal Palace.

He added: “Mark’s played well enough to play in the team and be involved, so if the right opportunity comes along, then yes, but I’ll only do what I think’s right to get the best result. Obviously it’ll be a big day for him.”
