Moyes frustration with Real Sociedad board

MoyesDavid Moyes could yet be a contender for the West Ham manager job again after reports emerged that he is growing increasingly frustrated with the Real Sociedad board’s position on player recruitment.

Moyes wants significant investment to be made in his Sociedad squad this summer but the club’s hierarchy are stalling on a commitment to do so.

Spanish newspaper AS claims that Sociedad president Jokin Apperibay has warned David Moyes that he will only be able to recruit three or four players to add to a squad who finished 12th in La Liga – despite the Moyes wanting to see a complete overhaul of his squad so he can challenge for Europe next season.

He took charge at Sociedad last November and has overseen 10 wins from his 31 games in charge, leading the club to 12th in La Liga.

  1. A few weeks ago this might’ve been good news but after all the exciting names I wouldn’t want him,the worry now is the Daves thinking safety first

  2. Im with ya Quickdraw. If we’re going for him we may as well of stayed with you know who. Moyes is just a younger version. So much so that he finished in more or less same position in his league. No thanks!!!

  3. Sounds a bit like he telling all and sundry happy there, hoping the Dave’s will go begging and offering large wads of cash . . . then no phone calls , , , now this, you know I might be up for a move . . . waits for phone again . . .

  4. Yeah was never on my list as a manager i fancied for us.Hope he doesnt come back into the frame again.Im sure he wil though with stories like this 😉

  5. A pragmatic rather than exciting appointment. Rather a monk, ,de beor type that will build and hang around. Imagine board are waiting in Liverpool situation – if Koop fancies Liverpool we could end up with Rogers ?!

  6. yes, never my first choice too… hmmm.. the circle of suspicion grows smaller… Bielsa, Bilic, De Boer (?)… Benitez has gone (Madrid), Klopp seems to prefer Liverpool (or he’ll be frozen for 6 months), Galliani appears to have persuaded Ancelotti to come back to Milan… I look a little deeper… lol

  7. If Ancelotti goes to Milan that puts Emery back in a slightly bigger circle of suspicion lol

    • lol sorry, I forgot him… And I Know Guardiola is not so happy in Munich… Hmm…

      • Haha and grim reaper Kevin will have a name to add, hope never ends lol

        • Ahah… hard work this night for Kevin… 🙂

          • Haha I think it would be hard work for Kevin to tie his shoelaces, the circle would be very big if the genius was part of it lol

          • Lol,i think you should do this tiresome work for us Matte.Good man.Becareful though.I saw a guy earlier on there trying to have a bit of a joke about. Its not allowed, they pounced on him.All very, very serious stuff you know! 😉

  8. Moyes should be crossed of the list he had his chance and was not interested now he knows we have 25 million he has put hid head back on the mantel,
