David Moyes has been issuing a series of updates on his injured players other than Vladi Coufal which suggests he may be available fpr the match against Brighton but that the manager is keeping things quiet …as is sometimes his way.

Fab had an operation on Thursday

However, there’s no such hope for various others and after saying that Zouma and Cornet aren’t close enough he gave the detail he had on Fab and Scamacca.

Answering reporters questions he said of Fab: “My belief is he had an operation this week. He had a plate inserted in his eye I believe. I think he had it on Thursday. We think it would be after the international break before he would be available again.

He revealed there had been a few other  injuries at Old Trafford saying: “There were a couple of knocks. I will assess them. I will have to see how they are today.”

But he doesn’t see Gianluca Scamacca as playing much of a part at the  moment declaring: “As you can all see he has got a bit to go yet and not probably in the right condition for what we want.
