Moyes gives fresh injury update

West Ham manager David Moyes has revealed that Manuel Lanzini suffered an injury at the top of his thigh this afternoon says it looks as if it is at the top of his thigh or a groin strain like he had before.

On Aaron Cresswell, the manager said it was only a dead leg which won’t be so bad if that is the case, he is expected to return to training.

The gaffer refused to put a timescale on Declan Rice saying “I am not putting a time on it yet, I can’t do that just now”

Mark Noble and Declan Rice watched today’s game from the London Stadium stands.

Moyes didn’t give an update on Mark Noble or Arthur Masuaku who were both missing today but both are thought to be close to returning from injury.

Angelo Ogbonna returned to the bench this afternoon but was an unused substitute.

  1. Shame about Lanzini, been looking good in that role. Would like to see a midfield three featuring him alongside Rice and Soucek when all are fit.

Hope this doesn’t mean a swift return for Noble to the starting eleven.
