Moyes gives post match injury update

David Moyes has admitted that Angelo Ogbonna has suffered an injury to his ankle while AndriyYarmolenko has an injury to his knee ligaments during his post-match interview with the media.

It is too early to say how long either West Ham player will be out of action and both are likely to undergo medical scans tomorrow to understand the extent of their injuries and potential recovery time.

Michail Antonio failed a late fitness after feeling tight hamstrings after the Fulham game, it is hoped he can be fit in time for the Sheffield United game.

The manager told reporters post-match at Old Trafford that Issa Diop appears to be fine after his clash of heads with Anthony Martial but doctors decided to take no risks and follow medical protocol by making him one of the first concussion substitutes under the new regulation.

With such a small squad Moyes will be hoping both new injuries are not too serious.

Must also be mentioned that Martial’s horrifically high challenge on Ogbonna was totally ignored by VAR and the commentary team last night

This is a result of playing the same 14 every 2-3 days – injuries. If you don’t opt to use the squad, you get forced to in the wrong way.
