News reports are suggesting that David Moyes is set to bid again for No1 transfer target Youssef En-Nesyri. The Moroccan has been linked with West Ham so many times that I’m starting to lose count.
It’s difficult to asses whether this is regurgitated old news or genuine interest. It’s beyond doubt that the Hammers manager rates the player, who is still only 26 years of age.
En-Nesyri is the international team-mate of Nayef Aguerd, and of course faced West Ham in the Europa League. As a result, he’ll be fully aware of the club, players and the manager.
Talks are reportedly underway with the Europa League specialists over a deal. Sevilla value En-Nesyri at around £35m, which is the same a Scamacca was signed for. That’s a price West Ham would possibly sanction, and agents are now negotiating personal terms according to the Spanish media.
I remain sceptical on this particular rumour, because we’ve heard it all before. That being said, David Moyes would be licking his lips at the thought of the striker heading in those James Ward Prowse corners.
As ever . . . .watch this space.
I hope not. Kudus and Doku and a LB
It appears that Mavropanos has FAILED his medical and we are seriously considering pulling out of the deal. I thought this signing was taking it’s time. Given that he was at the game yesterday you would have thought and announcement of his signing would have been made yesterday at the match or on the web site this morning. Why is nothing straight forward with us?
