Moyes goes striker-less

David Moyes has decided to go without a recognised striker against Anderlecht.

The Hammers boss has made the decision to give Gianluca Scamacca a rest, and Mikey Antonio is not well enough to travel with the squad.

As a result, it appears that either Jarrod Bowen or Lucas Paqueta are playing in a false nine role against the Belgian team.

Alphonse Areola comes back in goal; there is a back five, with Vlad Coufal, Ben Johnson, Angelo Ogbonna, Aaron Cresswell, and Emerson Palmieri.

Flynn Downes and Manuel Lanzini are paired together in midfield; Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek get a rest.

Up front, it is Bowen, Paqueta, and Said Benrahma, with the three likely to switch between their positions in a fluid formation.

Full West Ham XI: Areola; Coufal, Johnson, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Emerson; Downes, Lanzini; Benrahma, Paqueta, Bowen. Subs: Randolph, Dawson, Rice, Fornals, Soucek, Scamacca, Scarles, Hegyi, Potts, Forson, Coventry.
