Moyes has two very poor options for Everton

Cresswell problem for David Moyes and West Ham

David Moyes may need to make up his mind about Aaron Cresswell this weekend with Emerson ruled out of the Everton game with injury.

It’s clear that by including Emerson against Olympiacos last night the manager was uncertain about Cressie’s fitness and Ben Johnson’s ability to handle the match from the point of view of form.

It’s precisely that which is likely to see the youngster move on this winter or in the summer when the problems at left back will become even more worrying.

Ben Johnson

Moyes, however, faces a decision on Sunday which could be crucial to the game as the pair are the only options he has for the position.

There has to come a moment when he will need to decide on the fitness of Cress if Johnson is so far out of favour for a vitally important Premier League game.

He has yet to play at the highest level this season having appeared only in one Euro League game back in September against Backus Topola whilst Johnson has made one PL appearance against Man City.

It really is a serious situation for such an important game and really did need sorting out in the summer.
