David Moyes has confirmed that the club do not have a huge amount of injury worries but that there are two potential absentees for the game against Liverpool this weekend.
The Hammers played Genk on Thursday and drew 2-2 and Moyes has confirmed that there are two players who could miss this weekend’s encounter.
Andriy Yarmolenko is a doubt after picking up an injury while summer signing Nikola Vlasic could also miss out.
Moyes, though, is hopeful that he will not have to make any major changes to his usual starting XI against Liverpool, in what is a huge game in the top-four race.
The Hammers go into the game in fourth place, just two points behind Jurgen Klopp’s men in second in the Premier League.
Speaking to reporters, as per Football.London, the Hammers boss said: “At the moment we seem ok. Yarmolenko had a bit of an injury before we left, Vlasic as well. We’ll see how they are. It’s a quick turnaround between the games but hopefully we’ll be ok.”
Moyes is also aware of the challenge that the Reds pose after their impressive start to the season; Liverpool are the only unbeaten team left in the top-flight.
He added: “Liverpool will rise to the challenge, so we know how tough it’s going to be.”
