Moyes’ injury update

|

David Moyes admits that the Hammers have a few players who are “limping” after their heroics against Sevilla in the Europa League.

The Hammers turned in an amazing performance at the London Stadium on Thursday night to win 2-0 after extra time.

Moyes’ men are swiftly back in action, though, and will take on Spurs in a huge London derby on Sunday.

The two sides are level on points ahead of the game, with both sides still holding ambitions of qualifying for the Champions League via the top four.

It is a major game and Moyes has now confirmed that no players picked up serious injuries against the Spanish club, although he has admitted that there are a few players who are “limping” ahead of Sunday.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, as per Football.London, Moyes said: “We have a few limping but you expect that from a tough game and we’ll assess them all this morning and see how they are. It’s a bit early to know a lot about the team.”

The Hammers won the reverse fixture against Spurs, beating them 1-0 at the London Stadium in October, and a similar result would go a long way to helping the club reach the top four.
