David Moyes is staying at West Ham

David Moyes is remaining at West Ham and will be offered a deal early in the New Year. Moyes admitted as much himself when talking to Gabby Logan and Alan Searer following the victory against Arsenal.

However Sean Whetstone has just confirmed the news on his West Ham Football X (Twitter) page by saying  . . . “David Moyes is 100% staying on as West Ham manager next season. Joint Chairman David Sullivan & the manager will sit down early next year to agree terms and length of extension. Moyes believes he can still offer something to the Hammers and his project is unfinished, the club are happy to offer him a new contract. Today is the fourth-year anniversary of Moyes joining the Hammers for his second stint.”

Moyes is getting a new West Ham contract

Moyes is staying a Hammer with a new deal in January.

Moyes was in good spirits following the 2-0 Premier League win at the Emirates. He certainly seemed confident that a new deal would be thrashed out in the coming days and that seems to be the case.

The Hammers manager was at pains to stress that his calendar year has been a hugely successful one for West Ham. The club sit in the top six of the Premier League, are in the last 16 of the Europa League and won the Conference League last May.

You obviously don’t get to go to many games, inept performances etc and this is the same guy who just a few months ago nearly led us to being relegated last season – we were so so lucky that there happened to be teams with poorer players. Absolutely right to defend our club by highlighting how poor he is as a manager.

Watchable West Ham football, R.I.P. Gone but not forgotten. To the Board it is a hobby to us it is life. Don’t blame us, if we NEVER forgive them.

Moyes deserves nothing less. Highest Prem points total ever for our team at this point in the season, a trophy, three years in Europe, and the highest winning percentage (48%!) of any west ham manager in history. Does this decision mean efforts on here led by Hugh to undermine the manager will now permanently end? I doubt it.

I remember when Allardyce had me fooled he’d changed. Surely we need to wait.

Fans input totally ignored, huge mistake. It was a terrific result last night but the stats were awful. Arsenal on any other day would have won and won well. I dont believe for one minute that this has been decided,, no discussions should take place this soon. I fear we will see a mass exodus of good players if we do not appoint the manager to move us forward. Appointing Alonso is the way forward. Imagine the excitement within the playing and fan groups. Does Noble, does Steindein really want to continue working with a negative defense minded coach who really doès not care about entertainment,, their input is key to any decision. Can they continue to work with this guy !!! Not sure.
