Moyes just can’t help believing

David Moyes insists that the Hammers will do everything they can to beat Liverpool this weekend.

The Irons go into this game knowing that a win would take them above Jurgen Klopp’s brilliant Reds.

Klopp’s side haven’t actually lost this season but they have drawn four times, so there is the opportunity for the Irons to record a surprise result.

Moyes insists that he will never blow the Hammers’ horn too loud, but he insists that they can beat the Reds this weekend.

He told reporters: “I’d always be really humble towards what we have got. We will play against a top team that will make it really difficult for us. But we have to go into it with a level of belief that we can challenge and play against them.

“We have tried to do it against some of the teams. There will be periods of the games where you have to suffer because you cannot get the ball because they are so good with it and they make it difficult for you.

“So, it would be wrong to think we will always dominate the ball. We have to find a way of making sure that we get enough of it to cause Liverpool problems as well. I think we have a team at the moment who are understanding we can do a little bit of both. We have a resilience about it. These are the sort of games where we have to show it.”
