David Moyes is determined to strengthen at central defence in the summer with West Brom’s Jonny Evans a priority target should the Baggies slip into the Championship.
And he is also keen on fellow defender and Engllnd Under 21 Craig Dawson who signed a new three year deal with the club in 2017.
Various top clubs including Arsenal were believed to be keen on Evans in the winter window but failed to clinch a deal for the 30 year old who will be determined to move on should the midland outfit be relegated as now looks likely.
Dawson too will be looking for a move with two years left on his current deal once the season comes to an end..
EvansĀ was also linked with Manchester City but Moyes has also been watching him closely over recent months as the Baggies have slipped into serious danger.
The manager feels that he has to strengthen at central defence where Winston Reid has fallen out of favour and where James Collins has now reached the veteran stage.
The manager is also keen to reinforce at right back and will make a decision on Joao Mario in the summer if the midfielder is available at a sensible price.
Come on as if Evans would come to us after the offers he,s had …here we go again
Best of luck with this place
This reminds me of the deal to bring in Paul Hilton
You are both talking nonsense and haven#t a clue. If you wanna criticise make sure you know what you are talking about. I don’t publish rubbish and if u think I do leave or be binned. As flor atacking the real fans u may have missed my blog aying it’s fone and no one has a problem, you are the one close to the relegation zone..
Not sure why your getting upset with my comment hugh it was not aimed at you ,just our targets in general ?…nothing to do with your blog ..
Because I don’t make up stories- it goes against every rule I have ever made of myself. I have decent sources and both names have been very much on Moyes’ mind. Ok mate. It was the other bloke I got really peed off with anyway.
OK no worries Hugh ..
So you think Evans is more likely to come to West Ham than any of the top 6 clubs he’s been linked with?
And ftr I made the Hilton reference because, as I’m sure you remember, we signed him from Bury after beating them 10-0. What with West Brom heading down, I’m sure I don’t need to spell it out…
I won’t be coming back seeing as though you have a hissy fit over the slightest little thing. Is it rag week Hugh?
‘Bin’ me for all I care
