Moyes: “Manchester City are too good”

|

David Moyes has come close to admitting that the Hammers have too much on their plate at Manchester City tonight (Wed).

The manager goes to the Etihad knowing  exactly how good his opponents will be and asked the question by media he made the position clear,

He responded to reporters by saying: ” “Manchester City are too good. Maybe the question mark is whether they are going to get caught up in the Champions League, which they might be focusing on more.

But they have done the opposite – they are in the FA Cup final, have had huge wins in Europe already and have big games coming up. It would have been good if they had Real Madrid this week!”

And he said of the club’s can’t drop points mentality: “It makes them a difficult opponent, there’s a lot of pressure for the teams at the bottom of the league but there’s incredible pressure for the teams at the top of the league because that winning and having the chance to see what it’s like.
When you’re one of the top clubs your job is to win all the games and when you have got so much at stake, every game you’re needing to win so that’s pressure, pressure for Manchester City as well.”

Scary to think Moyes was going to put out the same team again tonight where he could. Sack him now before he sends us down.

Thats because they rotate their squad David and they have home grown players in the first team squad. Yes of course they have far better resources than we have but we do a far worse job of managing the resources we have at our disposal. But we are rsiking repeating all the mistakes of last year where we played the same players week in/week out and wondering why they look tired and don’t get results.
