Moyes may be forced into Soucek option

|

West Ham fans will worry that Edson Alvarez may find himself uninvolved in the game against Man City at the weekend.

Having explained this morning that the player won’t arrive back from international duty until late on Thursday afternoon, it could be very difficult to get him ready for the game.

Alvarez has been excellent since his arrival from Ajax and it would be a real pity were he to miss the game but should that be the case Moyes has Tomas Soucek available as the obvious candidate to take his place.

Frankly, given the Erling Haaland threat and Alvarez’s abilities I believe he will go with the Mexican regardless.  Moyes spoke about the problem of the former Ajax man’s late return and indicated it could cause problems.

Vladi Coufal is of course suffering a minor injury but it is likely he will be available for the game as the one to keep Jack Grealish quiet!
