West Ham will not be signing Callum Wilson or any other striker before deadline day!
Moyes mind made up on strikers
The 31-year-old Newcastle front man has been linked with the Hammers over the past few days with many believing that either he, or another central striker, will be brought into the club.
That is not the case so we can now rule out any further suggestion that the Hammers will be looking for more goal scoring power than is already available to the manager.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe had been implying for several days that the former Bournemouth man could be on his way from St James Park with the London Stadium thought to be a possible destination.
However, we were told by our own sources inside the Irons tonight (Mon) that it wasn’t going to happen and frankly, at a pretty lofty fee, the Newcastle over-30 with not greatest injury track record, didn’t look the best bargain despite his seven Premier League goals this season.
It seems in fact that David Moyes has now decided that he will stick with what he has up front suggesting that any newcomers will be either defenders or wingers.
Our source said this evening: “The manager says he has enough centre forwards. He’d like better, but unless we move players we have no slots.”
