Mikey set to return

David Moyes has confirmed that January signing Danny Ings will be earning a well earned for tonight’s trip to Old Trafford.

The £15m  man scored the first two goals of West Ham’s thumping victory against Nottingham Forest at the weekend. However he is unable to play against Manchester United having featured in the third round for former club Aston Villa.

The Hammers gaffer now views the cup tie as the perfect opportunity to unleash Michail Antonio following his goal on Saturday at The London Stadium.

Speaking to the press ahead of the game Moyes said. “We’ve tried to give Micky every opportunity we’ve given him and we have done, I was thrilled when he came on because he’s a huge part of the team and how we play.

But we need him to show it and we need him to come up with some goals as well. You have to say, it was a great bit of play by Pablo Fornals, which set him up the chance to score and he did everything he had to do with the header.”
