Moyes offered young midfielder on loan

|

David Moyes is reported to have been offered the chance to sign Franck Kessie from AC Milan on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old Ivory Coast international, who has previously been linked with Arsenal, Spurs, Wolves and Chelsea is keen on a move to England and intermediaries have been sounding out clubs in the Premier League including West Ham.

The midfielder matches of the manager’s priorities.  Kessié has been virtually ever-present in Milan’s starting XI since arriving in 2017, starting 37 Serie A games in 2017/18 and 34 in 2018/19. He has been directly involved in 17 goals (12 goals, five assists) during that period and has established himself as one of Serie A’s most accomplished ball-winners, having won possession 213 times throughout 2018/19 (more than any other Milan player).

His contributions extend far beyond goalscoring, though. An engine in midfield, Kessié covers a lot of ground, both in an attempt to break up the opponent’s play and join in attacks. His speed and aggression make him an effective presser, often charging towards the opponent after a pass from full-back into the centre.

Indeed, he is often the one mopping up midfield battles and sliding into 50:50 challenges. While he can sometimes be rash, his record of 28 tackles won from 45 attempted suggests he is, more often than not, an effective ball-winner.

Would love to see him here, just might the difference to us staying in the premier league. But I think with his ever present in the Milan team, why would he wanna join our circus, like others have said, I’ll believe it when there’s a picture of him holding a claret and blue shirt with his name on it……

Bournemouth are winning two nil as I writing this post. We are now 17th with two games in hand one against Leicester away and the other Liverpool at home the only thing keeping us on 17th position is better goal average. So tomorrow is a massive game for us but I cannot see us coming away with a win lucky if we draw then Liverpool at home next Wednesday. I reckon we could by Thursday week we will fall into the bottom three. Even if we do get another player that player needs time to gel into the team time that we don’t have. We are in the SH.T and I cannot see us getting out of it. 🙁

If he is that good why are they letting him go?

Believe nothing until the club says it. All the rest is agents working for their own ends, grateful or creative paper talk to fill columns and lazy websites regurgitating it all as fact. Much of the criticism of the Board is people getting upset over nothing they’ve actually said or done!

Agree. Sullivan get Kessie NOW. Much needed to avoid relegation,

Wouldn’t get to excited about this till all the “crossing of the the ts and dotting the i”s are done”? Why??? Because I feel agents use a club to get the best deal out there for their client and put it out there for clubs to barter for once a club shows interest ? Why do I think this way? The spuds Fernandes deal ??? We started the ball rolling there, but came out losers on that deal on agents manipulation?? So I’ll believe in any deal happening when its posted on the official West Ham website and not until then .

Can sadly see a “we tried, but couldn’t quite get it over the line” quote coming up.
Would love to be proved wrong.
