Moyes on injury news

David Moyes confirmed Winston Reid is out for the remainder of the season while he admitted Sam Byram could suffer the same fate. He told reporters James Collins and Angelo Ogbonna had been training all week and he hoped they would both be fit.

In his pre-match press conference, Moyes told reporters “Unfortunately we lost Winston Reid and Sam Byram in the game last week. Winston we think will be out for the season, Sam we are just waiting on a decision from the surgeon but it doesn’t look great either. That’s disappointing because Sam is just back from injury as was Winston.”

“Angelo (Ogbonna) has trained this week, Ginge (James Collins) we are still monitoring but everything going well, we hope they’ll be fit.”

On the Reid injury he added:“It’s a really big blow, he’s an important player for us, experienced and with the games, we have got coming up in the next ten weeks or so, he’s going to be really important.”
