David Moyes is being heavily linked with the Everton managerial position after parting ways with West Ham this summer, as pressure mounts on current manager Sean Dyche at Goodison Park.

According to sources close to Moyes, the former Hammers boss is considered “available” and reportedly open to the idea of replacing Dyche.

Moyes is believed to have returned to the North West after his departure from West Ham, where he had been based in Canary Wharf, London. His presence near Merseyside has sparked speculation, with some suggesting that he could be casting a shadow over Dyche’s position.

This speculation follows Everton’s humiliating 3-2 loss to Bournemouth on August 31, where the Toffees squandered a two-goal lead in the final 10 minutes.

Dyche is acutely aware of Everton’s dismal start to the 2024/25 season, marked by three consecutive league defeats. While Everton’s defence was a highlight last season, conceding fewer goals than all but Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool, that solid form now feels like a distant memory.

The Toffees conceded seven goals in their opening two losses to Brighton and Tottenham, and despite scoring twice against Bournemouth, the manner of their defeat leaves little room for excuses.

Jesus you guys just cant help yourselves, a slow news day is it? “His presence near Merseyside has sparked speculation, with some suggesting that he could be casting a shadow over Dyche’s position.” Are you for real? David Moyes has been based in the north west for years! The family home and his wife Pamela are based in Lancashire, so there’s absolutely no reason to post this fake news story or assume anything else apart from him returning to the family home. With all the BS and “so off the mark” speculation of the transfer window over, I thought maybe C&H might get back to some decent reporting and factual articles…..but no, lets find some more inaccurate, off topic speculation to post. You are normally much better than that Gonzo. More clickbait I guess!

It’s a West Ham site not a he who shall not be named and no longer associated with us site…

Oh really? So are you referring to David Moyes – the guy who saved us from relegation twice, was asked to come back after not getting the job permanently 1st time around, had 3 top half finishes in the premier league; including 6th position, brought us our first trophy in years and actually helped the club become some what self sustaining due to 3 continuous seasons in Europe. Maybe appreciate what he did by finally giving the club some stability, instead of moaning just because you are a hater. I’m sure you didn’t enjoy watching us win the conference league! I’m not a David Moyes fan, but at least I give him the respect he has earned and deserves. Especially considering how he helped the local community during covid.

Why are people so hostile hiding behind their keyboards? The guys at C&H are doing their best to provide an entertaining and informative web site. If you don’t like it, just don’t come here.

Probably down to breaking news like “According to sources close to Moyes, the former Hammers boss is considered “available” and reportedly open to the idea of replacing Dyche.”

I mean saying “according to sources close to Moyes” like they’ve got their finger on the pulse and all the top sources when they’re LITERALLY making the claim that a man who has been managing for over 26 years and finds himself without a club is “considered available” is honestly laughable “reporting” and is deserving of scorn.

  • Hammeroo says:

We sometimes follow what our former players get up to so why not former managers? I am still interested in how Moyes is going. As said elsewhere, he has earned and deserves some respect.

  • Macephtopheles says:

Yes. It weawwy, weawwy hurtses me.

I check articles here because the incompetence is, as stated, laughable (eg; the title here has “prescence” in it.. 🤣) and it’s amusing to see what new “facts” they’ve created- Tammy Abraham having 31 caps or Jordan Ayew being ex-West Ham, for recent examples.
