David Moyes is putting much of what is happening down at the club this season down to the spirit within the squad.
There seems no doubt whatsoever that this is a very “together” group of players and how good to see the new arrivals performing so well from the word go.
To often we have heard that players need time to settle in but not this time around with Edson Alvarez and lately Konstantinos Mavropanos showing what they are all about from the start of theur hammers careers.
Obviously the Conference winning climax to last season helped enormously and the lads returned giving the appearance that they were ready willing and able to kick things off in a big way.
Now Mo Kudus has had a couple of games and already showing himself to be a big prospect for the season.
Along with James Ward-Prowse and Lucas Paqueta we have invention and creativiry as things continue tol look very good indeed.
And Moyes – speaking at his pre-Saturday presser said: “We’ve had a great spirit. You have to remember we started the season after winning a European competition in our last game, so we came into it with a real positivity.
We feel much, much better about ourselves as a football club and as a team. I think from that point of view we were able to take it into the games. But the games we’ve had have been tough opening games.
At the moment we’ve had two Premier League games at home, and they’ve been against Chelsea and Manchester City.
From that point of view we’ve had quite a difficult start as far as our games at London Stadium go, but we’re in good form, the players have started well, the new signings have helped, so let’s hope that we can continue.
