Moyes ready to spark a run of results

By Hughie Southon

West Ham have started out on a decent run of results and a London Derby victory at the London Stadium this weekend would put a wonderful layer of icing on the cake.

With confidence at the highest level so far this season, victory over Graham Potter’s Blues would see the Hammers possibly vault into 14th place if results elsewhere were to go their way.

Stats show the opposition to have won two from the last eight games, drawn three and lost three which gives the resurgent Irons as good as an even money chance of overturning them/

And asked if a win over the Blues could spark a Hammers run David Moyes told reporters: !I do. If you get a good win against a big side it is important.

Last year when we beat Liverpool in the League it gave us a huge lift that we’re playing against the best teams, giving them games and taking points off them.

It was great. Chelsea have always been a really difficult opponent.”
