Moyes responds to Lingard’s Saudi decision

|
West Ham boss David Moyes has expressed his feelings on Jesse Lingard’s switch to Steve Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq for training after spending several weeks doing the same at West Ham.

And he is entirely comfortable with the midfielder’s decision despite even including him in training with the squad and even including him in a behind closed doors friendly against Ipswich Town at one stage.

Moyes can become a Hammers legend

Lingard certainly gave the impression that he was keen to join the Hammers but finally flew to Dubai when it was later alleged that this had been his plan throughout the spell he spent with us.

ClaretandHugh had regularly revealed that insiders at the club were not at all sure we needed another midfielder at the club but made it clear the decision was entirely down to the manager.

Moyes, it seems like them still feels that an extra midfielder is not necessaeily a requirement and said and as quoted by The Athletic’s Roshane Thomas [24 September] said: “No disappointment at all (that Lingard is training with Al-Ettifaq). I’m quite comfortable and more than relaxed with it.

“We like Jesse a lot but I just don’t know if we need another player in his position.”

Well if we are not interested or bothered about Lingard could the manager please stop commenting on him and let us hear more about our players, for example what’s happening with Cornet? How about some of the young players integration? Please finally park your Lingard folly Mr Moyes.
