Moyes reveals his key job at this time

|

Frustrated David Moyes admits that his key job at the moment concerns communication rather than anything else!

He believes the players are working hard in their individual training regimes and believes they will be in condition when they return from their enforced break.

He told Richard Keyes and Andy Gray in a video interview that they will all have been looking forward to their exercise period during lockdown and will be working hard knowing they could be back at any time.

But he made it clear that with things remaining so cloudy on the when and how of that his main job is providing the human touch to those who  ae perhaps fining it particularly hard to deal with the current circumstances.

He explained that this single issue was the biggest shift in his management technique as he uncertainty across the country country continues amid regular talk of an exit strategy.

He said: “The biggest shift is in communication – players are looking for a human touch. We talk about the families and the players are wanting an update but we are unable to give them that.”

He added that should there be a date to return he would ideally like a four week preparation/training period but believes the most clubs are likely to get will be three.”
