Moyes reveals what it would take for January signings

David Moyes admits the Irons are very unlikely to do any business in January unless injuries bite.

The Hammers go into the window hovering above the relegation zone and are set to face Arsenal in their return to Premier League action on Boxing Day.

The Hammers spent big in the summer, bringing in the likes of Lucas Paqueta, Gianluca Scamacca, and Nayef Aguerd, among others.

And Moyes accepts that there is no real need to go and spend big at the turn of the year, although he will do business if it is absolutely required.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the Gunners game, Moyes said: “We brought them in, we trust the players, we’ve got our players in. Unless I see any bits of injury, I don’t see us doing any serious business.”

The Hammers are very likely to keep their powder dry in the winter window, then, unless the squad falls foul of a number of fitness issues.
