Moyes set to attack – likely line-up

David Moyes is set to name an attacking formation as he looks to collect a maximum from the clash against Burnley at the London Stadium tomorrow (Sat).

With Angelo Ogbonna recovered from a flu bug and James Collins more likely to return than not, the manager looks likely to go with a flat back four comprising Pablo Zabaleta, Angelo Ogbonna, James Collins and Aaron Creswell.

His midfield will probably see Michail Antonio operating down the right side with Mark Noble, Declan Rice and Cheik Koutate making up the midfield four.

Manu Lanzini is set to start “in the hole” with Marko Arnautovic playing as the central striker.

That would mean Mario again being on the bench as the manager may feel that playing both him and Lanzini is a luxury he cannot afford at this point of the season.

Arthur Masuaku will be available for the next game of the season against Southampton at the London Stadium on March 31.

  1. Looks like a perfect line up on paper ; let’s see what happens on the pitch . A lot of talk from both players and manager before this game but we are used to that . There should be a 9 point bonus from these upcoming home games but , we are West Ham United and one never knows how the team will perform on the day . It is undoubtedly true that injuries have completely decimated our season and we are yearning for the return of more than a few . Having said that ; there are teams in the Premiership with if not the same level of injuries they have been similar but , they have managed to play with some intensity never the less whereas we haven’t . We have never seemed to have a match this season where we feel comfortable before kickoff . This is clearly a game where attack is the better form of defense. We need to come storming out of the blocks otherwise the race will be lost . No choice but hell for leather imo ,,, and get the crowd singing and shouting . We all need to perform from players right on down to the all so important fans . We need to leave Burnley completely overwhelmed and bewildered,,,, I think we can .
