David Moyes has set Mikey Antonio the target of scoring 15 goals this season after he netted the winner against Spurs on Sunday.
The striker poked home after Aaron Cresswell whipped a wicked corner delivery into the six-yard box.
Antonio has been in electric form throughout the season and now has six goals in eight games in the top-flight.
He has also laid on three assists and Moyes believes that he can score 15 goals this season, with Moyes insisting that all of the forward players at the club needing to hit the back of the net routinely this term.
Speaking after the game against Spurs, as quoted by Football.London, he said: “I hope he does (score 15 goals) because we need the forward boys to come up with goals. We rely on Mic a lot but we have Pablo, Said, Jarrod and Niko Vlasic to come up with goals as well.”
Mikey may be given a rest in midweek when the Hammers take on Manchester City in the EFL Cup, but is almost certain to play against Aston Villa in the Premier League next weekend.
Thanks to Antonio’s goal, the Irons end the weekend in fourth place.
