Moyes shortlisted for Premier League award

|

David Moyes has again been shortlisted for the Premier League’s Barclays Manager of the Month award for May – his fourth nomination of the 2020/21 season!

May saw the Irons bounced back from losing 1-0 at home to Everton to score a late leveller to draw 1-1 at Brighton & Hove Albion before beating West Bromwich Albion 3-1 at The Hawthorns and Southampton 3-0 in front of 10,000 supporters at London Stadium.

Those results saw the Hammers reclaim their place in the top six and hold off the challenge of Spurs, Everton and a late-charging Arsenal and Leeds United to secure European football.

Moyes was also nominated for the Manager of the Month award in October, November and January

Vote for David Moyes now!

Moyes is one of four managers shortlisted alongside Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Leeds United’s Marcelo Bielsa and Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp.

The 58-year-old has won ten Premier League Manager of the Month awards during his successful career, ranking him third behind only Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger.

I voted for David Moyes on a poll on BBC SPORTS website a couple of days ago for manager of the season, with all the usual suspects in the poll . Moyes was way out in front at the time with 37% of the vote. The feature disappeared next day and no news since. Perhaps BBC didn’t like the idea of Moyse winning?? Anybody else vote on it ?
