Moyes stance revealed on £31m winger swoop

By Dave Langton

Hammers sources have confirmed to ClaretandHugh that boss David Moyes has yet to make his mind up over a swoop for Arnaut Danjuma at Villarreal.

The winger has been reported as a target in Spain, with there being claims that a bid worth £31m has been tabled but we have been told that no firm decision has been take at this stage.

Moyes is keen to strengthen his forward line but there is no indication that there is going to be an offer tabled for Danjuma yet.

The 25-year-old was in impressive form for Villarreal last season, scoring 16 goals in all competitions and also laying on four assists.

Moyes has gained something of a reputation for taking a while to make his mind up over targets and he has yet to give the green light to a bid for Danjuma.

The Netherlands international can play up front and on the wing and would offer some real versatility.

However, it’s a waiting game for the Irons at this point, as the club’s powerbrokers wait for Moyes to say yes or no.

  1. Moyes had before the Season was over to run a ruler over those he wanted and could have made up his mind. Time to take it out of his dithering hands and buy what the Club need. Bring back Nobes and let him pick what Players we need. Noble would have a lot better idea of what the side needs than Moyes. He is a waste of space in the close Season.

    • It’s not pick n mix. You don’t just decide who you want and they’re yours. Picking them is the easy bit. Then the hard work begins. Negotiations can take months. But let’s ignore all that because it doesn’t fit your agenda.

  2. Dithering Dave strikes again…………
Moyes is a nightmare when it comes to making transfer decisions………..
God help us…….. potentially another transfer window disaster !!!!

  3. I’m sure if Moyes wants the player and he thinks he’s worth the money he’ll go after him. I think it’s great that we’re not just chucking money at players anymore. Im not sure Moyes would just accept a Sullivan punt like managers in the past had to. I think Moyes likes to be one hundred percent convinced and that for me is a good thing.
