Moyes starting to get what he wants from midfielder

|

Lucas Paqueta is beginning to look like a game changer at West Ham  but unsurprisingly David Moyes believes he still has it to prove.

The Brazilian started to look serious quality against Bournemouth but in previous matches too the one touch football he used to find his man with back heelers and the like has become a joy to watch.

But the Hammers boss reckons the midfielder is having to prove to himself that he can cut it in the Premier League.

Speaking to reporters Moyes said: “Yes, I think he is still having to prove himself he has the talent to work  in the Premier League and I think that is fine.

I think he’s got all the talent, he’s got all of the abilities. Let’s be fair, the Premier League has seen some brilliant players come here and not be as successful as they should have been.

I think Lucas has got a bit to prove, I think we’ve been looking for what he’s given us in recent weeks, that’s what we’ve been hoping for at the start.”
