Moyes: The players will get away with nothing”

moyescarrollDavid Moyes has repeated his declaration that the West Ham players will get away with nothing either on the pitch or the training ground.

The manager is clearly a seriously hard task master but despite everything is “really enjoying” life in the east end of London.

His various moves in dropping Winston Reid, leaving Chicharito and Andy Carroll on the sidelines and dropping captain Mark Noble from early games shows he is not for messing.

And ahead of tonight’s massive game against West Brom he said: “I’ve got to say I’m really enjoying it here. I’ve not enjoyed bits of the last couple of games but I’m enjoying being at the club.

“The players are good, I’m enjoying working with them, the players are having it. We are laying into them because we want the performances to be better, and behind the scenes we are not letting them get away with anything.

“We are trying to raise the standards, we’re trying to raise all the things to give us a chance of getting away from the wrong end of the table.”

  1. We’ve all heard the saying , missed the bus , that’s exactly what the barrow boys and the lacky that puts the barrow away after trading !. Teams with a future in the sport who do not want to get left behind have invested in players at a small cost in today’s market of spiraling fees for players ! The lids have just acquired van dyke for 75 mill and the 45 mill for salah was a bargain who IMO is worth up to 100+ in the rising prices game ! Look at this game changing scenario with a open mind and see why the current owners will not and cannot take us to the level promised at the time of evacuation of the old girl ! Simply put , they cannot take us to that pinnacle because although they portray themselves as business people they clearly lacked the vision to see the monstrous change in the finances of the game , selling sex toys compared to running a multi million pound business in sport are like comparing a toffee apple seller to to a company that deals in omega watches sold to sheiks and royalty ! Such is the gap now widening before our very eyes is more than evident that they cannot compete with the next level or get anywhere near it in the foreseeable future ! This leaves me on a personal thought that these visionaries 😂 have not got the intention or the resources to take us further because for one as has been said they hold no capital to achieve that and 2, when they finally sell , which I personally think was their intention all along moving to the running track ? Are laughing all the way to the bank ! Maybe they just forgot to hail the bus and watched it go past with stamping feet accusing the driver of not stopping or just maybe they turned their back as it approached ? Either way we have missed the bus IMO !!! 😤
Whether they saw the change coming or not , its a different ball game ! Leaving Upton park was a failure in all proportions as hindsight might have seen the change coming but the question is where does that now leave us in the bigger picture !!!
Worrying times ahead IMO and as said its a question of when not if that will force them to sell up and where that will lead us is in the lap of the gods!
At the end of the day its the board that have got away with it Moyes ? Not the players and that whip will change nothing in the long run , no matter who you are ! 😕
