The three Davids seem united -Declan Rice will remain a Hammer next season as the Irons enter Europe.
And as far as David Moyes is concerned – speaking after today’s game -`he doesn’t believe the other two Davids have the remotest intention of letting him go anywhere.
Moysie has made it clear on various occasions that it will take anything from £100 million upwards for Dec to be sold.
That’s not going to happen this summer or possibly next, by which time the Irons – at their present rate of progress could be seen as a top Premier League side in their own right.
Moysie, meanwhile, was more than happy to repeat what we have written many times, that none of them will contemplate seeing him leave – a position repeated by our prime source who described that as a zero chance possibility.
The manager was in no mood to let the situation dominate interviews after the 3-0 win over Southampton but took time to make the position clear.
He said: “I don’t think [co-owners] David Sullivan, David Gold or myself have got any intention of losing Declan Rice.
Uplifting, what an end to a great season – the smiles and togetherness was there to behold. Declan, please stay: Jesse, please sign. The London Stadium, people’s Czech Republic!!!

I know things can change very quickly in football but in Rice’s case I think he’ll remain a hammer. Prof footballers all want to be part of winning sides and he is no different. The way finances are atm he’ll stay for at least this coming season. Nobody can forsee 12 months down the line. I’d like WH to do well in Europe but not at the expense of the PL. He has to believe that the Irons will win something even if it’s only the Carabao alongside becoming England captain.
