Moyes tipped for manager of the month

|

There has to be something very wrong with the competition if David Moyes is not short listed and wins the Premier League manager of the month.

The manager has won six games out of six this January with four of those in the Premier League, that feat with with such a small squad and a crowded fixture list is remarkable.

The Hammers first saw off Everton away  1-0 on New Years day, next came Stockport away with another 1-0 win in the FA Cup, another win at the London Stadium over Burnley made it a hat trick of 1-0 wins.

Sam Allardyce and West Bromwich Albion were accounted for at home with the Hammers conceding their first goal of the year to win 2-1.

Four days later it was 4-0 win over Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup to book a place in the fifth round against Manchester United.

Just three days after that we crowned everythingwith a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park to put the Hammers fourth in the Premier League.

David Moyes was shortlisted for the Premier League’s Barclays Manager of the Month award for November last year after he achieved  a 100% record that month but lost out to Jose Mourinho.

The West Ham manager was also previously shortlisted for the Barclays Manager of the Month award for July 2019.
The Hammers boss could win the prestigious award for the eleventh time in his illustrious career, with his ten previous wins ranking him third all-time behind Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger. The 57-year-old has also won the LMA Manager of the Year award on three occasions.
