David Moyes will get to see one of his reported striker targets up close and personal at the London Stadium on Thursday night.
Gen striker Paul Onuachu was reported to have attracted the manager’s attention last summer.
But Genk asked for more than £20million which put West Ham off.
Genk don’t need the money at the moment so can afford to hold out for a good offer. The Belgium club is not owned by a private person, it’s a community model, where they stay alive with transfer money. They sold a lot of players in recent years and therefore are financially in a good shape.
According to Sport Mediaset (via Sport Witness), the Irons’ rivals Southampton are the latest club to be linked with a move for Onuachu, joining the likes of Arsenal, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid in the long list of potential destinations.
Last month, Sport/Voetbal magazine journalist Peter t’Kint claimed that a good performance from the Nigeria international would practically seal his move to the London Stadium.
We will get a better look to see if he has what it takes to mix it up against a PL side ! We shouldn’t make the mistake of taking this game lightly ! ⚒
