Moyes to revisit big transfer target this summer

David Moyes still wants Jesse Lingard at West Ham in the summer.

We were involved in a big battle with Newcastle towards the end of the winter window but although the Geordies looked to have the upper hand we understand that the player was becoming keener on a London Stadium return.

Come summer there will be no transfer fee involved and the Hammers could offer the attacking midfielder a hefty signing on fee and decent basic wage with appearance and positional clauses.

Moyes loves the player which makes it surprising he chose to spend £27 million on Nikola Vlasic.

We understand the manager and club were talking to Lingard’s agent father Roy regularly in January but with United playing hardball on the player there was little chance of making it happen.

However, he will revisit the situation come summer when Lingard will be in a position to prove he wants the Hammers over the Geordies.
