Moyes to stick with winning team

David Moyes says he is likely to have a fully-fit squad to choose from when West Ham travels to North London to face Spurs on Sunday evening.

The manager has one new arrival in the form of Craig Dawson available for the first time following his loan switch from Watford, while Ryan Fredericks has overcome a hamstring problem and Issa Diop has returned to training after his own positive Covid-19 test. Saïd Benrahma joined too late to be registered for Sunday’s game.

Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek, Vladimir Coufal, Angelo Ogbonna, Andriy Yarmolenko, Fabian Balbuena and Lukasz Fabianski have all returned from international duty too without injury

The manager told reporters “Ryan Fredericks is back in training, Issa Diop is back in training, We’ve got everyone back fit now.

“We’ll check the boys who have come back from international duty, a few have come back from a bit further afield, so we’ll just check that they’re all fine over the next few days, but we’re in a good place at the moment.”

Moyes is often a creature of habit and likes to stick with a winning team so assuming there are no fresh injury concerns one would expect him to name the same team that beat Leceister City 3-0.

Predicted West Ham Starting XI  Fabianksi, Cresswell, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Coufal, Rice, Soucek, Masuaku, Fornals, Bowen, Antonio

  1. No problem with that . The only certainty is that Noble must not play as all of the impetus will be lost if we go back to the pedestrian pace we have to play at to accommodate him .

  2. Moyes would be crazy to make any changes to the team that Won 4 nil, 3 nil, wouldn’t he? Don’t change a winning team and all that, but what happens if the same team wins again against spurs and carries on winning? Unlikely scenario, but what if? Does Benrahma sit on the bench for the rest of the season?
