Moyes unsure about Phillips …sigh!

True to form David Moyes opened his pre-match presser against Bournemouth by claiming he’s unsure loan signing Kalvin Phillips would be ready for action tomorrow evening (Thurs).

Moyes unsure about Phillips….sigh!

How that can be the case is a mystery given the midfielder has been in full training with Manchester City and again this week at Rush Green.

That is the Moyes way though. It would be a huge shock were the England international not to start against the Cherries as we bid to put some space beyond ourselves and seventh placed Newcastle United.

The manager revealed however Edson Alvarez may play his first game since January 7 and of course has Mo Kudus back from Afcon with Nayef Aguerd set to return after his Morocco were knocked out of the last 16 by South Africa

Discussing the position with the media the manager declared that he really wasn’t entirely certain about Phillips which in reality probably means he is.

He said: “I’m not sure whether Kalvin’s ready to start or not, but he’s been looking good in training so we’ll wait and see.

“He’s a really good player, and his pedigree over the last few years made him someone I really wanted at the club. A couple of years ago Jesse Lingard came in at this time of year and did really well for us, so hopefully Kalvin can have a similar impact. He’s certainly hungry to do that.

“In a similar position Álvarez is doing much better and will hopefully be available, so we’re starting to look a bit stronger in that area for sure.”

He added: “Mo’s back from AFCON, which is good news for us, and I’m expecting Nayef to be back with us very soon, so we’re gradually getting our depth back and looking stronger.”

Same old crap coming out of the mouth of Moyes. He’s a real bull**** artist, isn’t he! I wonder how much longer we will have to listen to him as West Ham manager? God help us!
