David Moyes has indicated that Kurt Zouma is set to miss tomorrow evening’s European Conference semi final first leg game against AZ Alkmaar at London Stadium
Speaking to the media ahead of the game Moyes tried to keep his cards close to his chest when asked if the No4 could feature against the Dutch side.
But Claret and Hugh has been told by a key source that he is possibly going to be ok for Brentford but that tomorrow’s night game will almost certainly come too soon.
Discussing his chances Moyes said that there was a good chance the central defender wouldn’t make it and if that’s the case we are set to see Aguerd and Oggy alongside each other.
Moyes revealed that there are no other problems in the squadwhich suggests we will see a much stronger team than he has fielded in the competition so far.
He said: “Kurt has had a day back, but he is just starting back really, and we are just trying to see how his ankle is and how he is getting on,” said the Scot. “Hopefully, he is making good progress.
“It’s a good chance that it is probably too soon for tomorrow, but we will see how he feels tomorrow and make a decision based on that.”
Moyes will definitely be without Gianluca Scamacca (knee) and Vladimír Coufal (hamstring).
He added: “I think there is a lot of tiredness and a lot of fatigue around every camp at the moment from the Premier League. But I think we are all okay.”
