Moyes wants Hammer to score more goals

David Moyes says he and his backroom staff are pushing Tomas Souck hard to get the goals that he got last season because he was very good with his goal numbers last year.

The manager says he likes his work ethic but wants him to convert more chances as he currently just missing a couple of opportunities or they are not quite falling for him.

The Gaffer told reporters in yesterday’s pre-match press conference that Tomas remains is a real threat in the box as well so he is hoping he can start to get a few goals as well as his very good running stats.

The Czech Republic international is topping the charts with 80.7 kilometres covered in just seven games this season so far.

Soucek has scored one goal from seven appearances this season compared to ten in 38 league appearances last season.

He has already equalled the one assist he made last season.
