Moyes wants Iron to bring trophy winning form with him

David Moyes is building from the back in a big way.
It’s always been a managerial mantra that you have to get the defence right first and currently the Irons look stronger at central defence than for several years.
Kurt Zouma looks outstanding, Oggy is one of the best around, Issa Diop is returning to his best and maybe even better form, whilst Craig Dawson collected the man of the match award at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
Once again those of us who questioned the decision to let Fabian Balbuena leave probably got it wrong given what we are seeing from the boys at the back right now.
Zouma in particular looks a monster player and was of course the manager’s number one priority through the summer window.
In his two games so far he has looked quite outstanding and the manager has made his feeling very clear on him ahead of the match against Leeds.
He told today’s presser:  “I think if you’re 26 and you’re a centre-back, there’s still more improvement to come. I think his best years are still to come and hopefully they’ll be at West Ham.
He’s come from a club where he’s used to winning trophies so I hope he brings that to us as well. To be involved in the France squad as well says something about him.

“We’ve got great competition in centre-halves at the moment, we had terrific performances the other night from Issa Diop and Craig Dawson, so that’s what we want as well.”
