Moyes: “We want the same as Declan”

|

David Moyes kept his comments on Declan Rice’s ambitions to win things in the future very short and sweet when questioned about the captain’s remarks in a Gary Neville podcast.

Honest Declan said that her wants a career where he can win everything and that immediately suggested that he may have to leave the Irons to do so.

Declan has been regularly linked with the Manchester clubs and Chelsea but claimed that it was all a load of noise to him.

It also needs to be remembered that with an option attached to his current deal he could remain at the London Stadium for three years although there are hopes that with the progress we are making as a club he will decide to sign a new deal.

Moyes made it clear he is doing all he can to make that happened when answering reporters question ahead of the Leicester game.

He said: “We’re now getting ourselves into the position where we’re giving the top teams a good game. Declan’s a big part of it. We want to try to fulfil those ambitions, the same as Declan.”
