Moyes winter scouting mission to hot up

|

MoyesnoteDavid Moyes is on the prowl as he intensifies his search for players to sign within the winter transfer window.

ClaretandHugh learned ahead of the Chelsea v Norwich game – which the manager attended – that he was about to start personally scouting certain players as the countdown to the window continues.

The Hammers boss has made it clear that he personally likes to see any player on his list before giving the nod for the club to make any sort of bid.

There will be no player enter the West Ham set-up that hasn’t been personally vetted by the manager who has a big reputation as a hands on operator.

Claims from inside the club are that he will broach no interference on player selection – an area that he believes is entirely his responsibility ..that’s very refreshing and long awaited.

So here are the games we have found the manager can attend in Britain free of his West Ham match day duties. The  Moyes watchers among us will be keeping a keen eye on the Scot over the next few days.

Here are the games we reckon he can take in:

Derby County v Bristol City

Saints  v Spurs

Swansea v Liverpool

Partick Thistle v Celtic

Arsenal v Chelsea

Sheffield Wednesday v Reading

Yeovil v Manchester United

Chelsea v Newcastle

Cardiff City v Manchester City

plus 13 other Scottish games

Let the speculation begin!

I actually like the way Moyes is really hands on its refreshing he goes to games & likes to see them himself which compared to other managers who didn’t even go to U23 games is nice.
And will also make for getting the right fit easier but trying to watch all in Jan especially if not in PL or championship have to trust your scouts & watch on Teley.
He has said wasn’t there to watch Michy & likes to go to games & was watching Norwich players that had been mentioned to him & were doing well.

Even heard & see in Norwich against Chelsea they play more like PL side which hasn’t worked well for them in Championship but would help there players make the move.

And down to really hope he was watching James Maddison, I have been on about him all season & has been getting bigger over last couple weeks.
He would be a great add 21 & English would fit in PL pace great dribbler & movement. Free kick specialist & scores some lovely dead ball goals & would add needed creativity & auch needed other set piece taker.
Would love him in Jan but even if can get till summer we should get he will only get better & value will rise.
Gunn was also great but he is on loan from Man City wonder if they would swap him for Hart back.
Hart doesn’t care for club could use wages to give Ginge a year & have £70k plus left.

But would love Maddison & really likely Moyes & his hands on approach I think in summer he will do some really good recruiting w Henry especially if can get over PL experience

I used to get stressed in the t.w but not any more because you cant believe anything you read ….but have we actually put a serious bid in for anyone at all ….?

    Blimey! Six signings???
Ambulances are being rushed to the the Sullivan & Gold stately homes as we speak. ‘All systems alert-Two elderly gentlemen reported to have gone berserk, running round their houses screaming & refusing to let go of their cheque books.’

In addition to the list of players he has already targeted, lets hope the ‘Moishe can bring in
3-4 midfielders who have pace, quality on the ball, good passing skills, and stability and solidity in general play.
If possible, two attacking players who are fast, and have a decent and accurate shot on them.
Is that asking too much Hugh??
