Moysie wonders how he can win the League

It’s far to soon but David Moyes wants to dream of winning the League.
Moyes is a hard-headed realist and knows exactly what’s required to remain in the position we currently occupy.
But he’s not a man to dodge a question and when asked by reporters whether he believed such a might feat was possible he gave as honest an answer as is possible in the current circumstances.
He responded: You always want to shoot for the stars and I’ll always try and do that if I can. I think you always want to think, ‘How can I have a chance of winning it?’
At the moment it’s way too soon. Even with European football, it’s not that I don’t want to talk about it but I just want everyone to realise we’re making great strides and we need to be careful that we don’t disappoint.
“I said at the start that we’re not going to promise things we can’t deliver. I can’t promise we can finish in the Champions League or Europa League.
What I can promise is that we’re going to be a Premier League team next season which a lot of people would’ve accepted.
We’re hoping that we can overdeliver (this season) but I can’t give that answer until another three months’ time.”

  1. Enjoying Moye’s pressers, the talk about Rice & building too. I agree we can’t be looking to win league this season but with right investment this summer & keeping hold of our main players we should be going for top 4 at least 6 imo.
And hopefully a cup run. If we do get Europa hopefully we do & we get auto not not 7th & have the qualifications bc don’t have the squad yet. If we get that we will need to add at least 2 strikers a CM & LB. Lingard hopefully stays too. Here’s hoping but been enjoying the season & beating the Spuds would be wunderbar

  2. Great to be optimistic but we are far off winning the league for pity sake, we are nowhere near a Man City, we do not have the spending money, need at least 6/7 more quality players… Need to offload dead wood, Fornals, hasn’t convinced me at all besides hard graft.. Top 8 every season would be brilliant let’s not get delusional here…
