Enough has been written about Dean but I just want to add that in many many years of watching and reporting football I have never seen a worse performance from an official in my life.
That’s it…I have nothing more to say other than were there any justice in this world he would never be allowed to officiate on any football pitch in the world at any level again.
Despite his impossibly bad performance there was much to take from the Hammers display against a Manchester United side who, until Marcus Rashfor appeared, failed to cause any real problems apart from one attack on our goal.
The spirit and application we applied to the job when reduced to ten was brilliant and the opposition rarely got in behind us.
Had we had an official out there who understood the laws of the game and thus ensured Feghouli stayed on, I truly believe this would have been our London Stadium turning point. As it was we looked as though at long lomng last we were adjusting to life in the place.
We looked comfortable defensively and in midfield the absence of Mark Noble a new engine room of Obiang and Kouyate looked the answer to our problems.
The Senegal player will be absent for perhaps two or three weeks on international duty but on his return he and Pedro look set to become the permanent pairing. Where that leaves the skipper is anyone’s guess.
Havard Nortveidt again performed well in the right back role and with Lanzini coming good in a big way, we look a team on the march despite successive and unjustified defeats.
Andy Carroll was left out because he still can’t do two full games in three days but looked a handful when he did appear near the end.
The form resurrection has started late but I don’t think there’s a huge amount to worry about since we looked – even with ten men – more at home in the LS today than in any previous league game this season.
Despite the dire Dean’s dreadful display I feel optimistic as we prepare for the remainder of the season and believe a top half finish is on.

100% agree…. ruined the game but even with 10 we were still in it… the crowd knew we needed to stay with the team today, if we can do this every game then our home will be made. COYI WHTID ⚒
Yeah i thought we put in a great performance in adversity.I thought the midfield looked a lot more athletic & dynamic as well.Im not sure why that was lol.
Oops i will be in trouble now 😁
Agreed appalling display by Dean and his cronies We still had.2 wonderful chances for Antonio to give us the lead.Surely the owners have to do everything possible to buy a top striker in this window. As against Leicester the chances were created again, even with 10 men it looks much better.COYI.
Agree with all of this. It is extremely difficult to play against 13 men when you are unjustly down to 10. However, I don’t agree that Nordtveit played well. Despite improving recently, he had a very hesitant & uncomfortable last 20 minutes, or so, play passing him by on several occasions, most notably when Man U scored their first goal. Other than the incompetent referee & linesman, this was a good game & West Ham were the better side with Lanzini the man of the match, in my opinion. One other point, where was Poyet ?
That should be, Payet , of course. Just seen the spelling error !
Really felt bad for Feghouli, he had a lot of energy and really looked up for it. I reckon he wanted to prove something to the Algerian selectors.
He in Adelaide, i could hear the cries of disbelief!
How comes this moron is allowed to officiate in any premiership game. Every game i look to see who is reffing our games when its Dean, we are screwed. Why are the officials not paid on their performance?
OK red card given, but to allow 3 players to be offside for the second goal, you dont see that in sunday morning pub football.
As for Jessie Moron-eo (yes i spelt it that way)
“”If you talk about decisions, we are the champions of bad decisions,” added Mourinho”
You are champions of f**k all this year and rightly so. Im sure if this inept performance resulted in a Moan United loss there would be an enquiry with Dean suspended and moron-eo being sent to the stands.
I believe the Irons have tuned the corner and will finish mid table but again we will have to do it against 12 men, fortunately not all referees are as bad or biased as Dean.
Feeling gutted for the Team and management for this result, i feel the frustration of the fans but stay strong- for supporting West Ham was never going to be easy, but we the fans are why this is a great club.. P.S i did ask Santa for a big money but quality goal scorer to help AC upfront! Onwards and upwards, COYI………
Cheerz from Murray Bridge.
So much better without Noble . Surely EVERYONE can see that he is way o offf the pace . We were so much quicker , mobile and direct without Capt Terrible . I hope I never see him in our shirt again . His performances have been a disgrace .
Funny how we see the same game differently. I thought Nortveidt had a shocker. Three times he gave the ball away near our area which could have led to a goal.
I thought he had a decent game considering we were 1 man less. But you could ask Obiang about giving the ball away, for the second goal and sliding in recklessly for the first.
Apart from that I would not critisise anyone for that dominating performance.
When will the Man U favoritism by refs and linesmen end?
Heroic performance by all, Slav should have said no comment except how can any team with those decisions win or even draw that game ?
